Meridian Bullets

In the sixteenth century it was Emperor Jia Jing who had the operation of meridian balls thoroughly investigated. What looks like a mindless game of spinning 2 metal balls in the palm of your hand is actually a healing technique. Qi is the name for life energy that flows through our body. The channels through which this energy flows are called meridians; these are connected to the major organs and senses in the body. The palms also contain touch points or energy centers. By rotating the meridian balls in the hands, these reflex zones are stimulated, and the energy that is released is carried through the meridians to the different body zones. In this way healing or alleviation of disorders can be achieved (but it is by no means a solution for all complaints). The meridian balls are available in different sizes; start with the smaller balls and try to spin the balls both left and right in the hands. If you are successful with this exercise, try to spin the balls without touching each other. Once you've developed some skill at this, it's wise to start using bigger balls. With this you learn to spin the balls up to the fingertips. Over time you will notice that the hands and fingers also become more flexible. Change the direction of rotation regularly. By releasing new energy in this natural way you can start to feel more comfortable. The ability to concentrate and the inner strength increases.

The balls have a mechanism through which the movement in the hands creates a gentle vibration within the balls. Each large ball has a diameter of approximately 4 cm. They come in a set of two, in a padded box with beautiful Chinese silk embroidery.

These chrome-plated steel balls are easy to maintain. If you don't use the balls for a while, treat them as you would treat the chrome of your car: Rub a small amount of oil or chrome polish over the surface of the balls with a dry cloth to prevent rusting.
